RDO questions
What is an RDO in construction?
A rostered day off accrued by working a slightly longer day across a cycle, then taken as a paid day off — usually a Monday on a four-week cycle in eastern states.
Are travel and fares allowances paid on an RDO?
No. Daily allowances follow days actually worked, which is why paying them as a flat weekly amount creates errors on RDO weeks.
Why doesn't this match our calendar exactly?
Because published calendars shift around public holidays and shutdowns, and agreements differ. This is a pattern generator; your actual calendar gets built into our pay engine at setup.
How does Project Payroll handle RDO accrual?
Accrual and taking are interpreted from your published calendar and approved hours, so balances don't drift from a spreadsheet.
