There is no industry RDO calendar for mining, and we are not going to invent one. Sites run 7/7, 14/14, 8/6 and other swings set by the site agreement. Pick your pattern and cycle start date, and this generates the year, so the roster sits in the same calendar your crews already look at.

RDO questions
What is an RDO in construction?
A rostered day off accrued by working a slightly longer day across a cycle, then taken as a paid day off, usually a Monday on a four week cycle in the eastern states.
Why does a downloaded RDO calendar go wrong?
Because the parties amend it mid year. The Monday after ANZAC Day 2026 and 2027 became a day off in Victoria rather than a public holiday, and the December RDOs moved to sit against it. A PDF saved in January still shows the old dates, and a pay run built on that PDF pays the wrong days.
How do I get RDO dates for 2027 into my calendar?

Which RDO calendar applies to my crews?

Are travel and fares allowances paid on an RDO?
No. Daily allowances follow days actually worked, which is why paying them as a flat weekly amount creates errors on RDO weeks.
What happens when EBA and award crews share a project?
Their days off diverge. Use compare mode above to list every date where one calendar has a day off and the other does not, then plan labour and pay around those dates instead of finding them on the day.
How does Project Payroll handle RDO accrual?
Accrual and taking are interpreted from your published calendar and approved hours, so balances do not drift from a spreadsheet.
