Switching

Four weeks from your first email to your first live pay run

We read your agreements, migrate your data, connect your site software, and run a full parallel pay period before you rely on us. Mid-year switches are normal and STP2 continuity is handled.

Timeline

What happens each week?

  1. Week 1

    We read your agreements

Send the EBA, the award you rely on, your RDO calendar and a recent pay run. We build the rules; you don't fill in a configuration workbook.

    Reading your EBA…

  2. Week 2

    Data and connections

Employees, YTD balances, leave and super fund details come across. Timesheet and ledger syncs are connected and cost codes mapped to your structure.

    Mapping cost codes…

  3. Week 3

    Parallel pay run

We run a full period alongside your existing payroll and compare line by line. Differences get explained by clause, not waved away.

    Comparing runs…

  4. Week 4

    Go live

Your first live run, with a human on it start to finish. Super pays with wages, STP2 lodges, labour posts to job cost codes.

    Finalising your first run…

Coming from

Which systems do builders switch from?

None of these are hard migrations. The hard part is always the agreement, and that part is ours.

  • MYOBYTD balances and leave come across; STP2 continuity handled with an update event.
  • Xero PayrollWe take payroll off Xero and keep Xero as the ledger via a GL journal each run.
  • SpreadsheetsThe spreadsheet becomes the specification — we build its logic properly and retire it.
  • A bookkeeperThey keep the books. We take the interpretation risk off their desk.
  • Employment Hero PayrollHR can stay where it is; payroll moves and syncs back.
  • A legacy on-prem systemWe migrate what exists and rebuild what was in someone's head.

Switching questions

Can we switch mid financial year?

Yes. YTD figures migrate and STP2 continuity is handled with an update event, so employee income statements stay correct at year end.

What do you need from us?

Your agreement, award reliance, RDO calendar, a recent pay run, employee and super details, and someone who can answer questions about how you actually pay. That's it.

What if our EBA is being renegotiated?

We build the current agreement and stage the new one so it switches on the day it takes effect, including back-pay if it applies.

Do we pay twice during the parallel run?

No. The parallel run is a comparison, not a payment. Only one system actually pays your crew.
